This is all about Basketball Competition which was organised by Delhi Public Sambalpur, Sambalpur. It was a house based competition. Our young and energetic players took part with full enthusiasm, energy and dedication.
But in every game one gives last laugh who is hard worker and determined. This time it was ORION House. They won the match by 14 points against Hercules House.
NCC Cadets 2018 of Delhi Public School, Sambalpur. The word ‘NCC’ brings a strange sense of courage, discipline and pride among many of us. We look up to those students who are a part of NCC and admire them, whose motto is ‘Unity and Discipline’. For every NCC students, there would be a long story to tell which would become travelogue of their success.
‘NCC’ stands for the ‘National Cadet Corps’ that was established way back in 1948. NCC cadets are split into two levels the school level provides A level certificate and the college level where you get the B and C level certificates. The organisation aims to develop disciplined cadets under its Army Wing, Naval Wing and Airforce Wing for motivating the youth to take up a career in the armed forces.
The fuel that lights the fire of continuing in this organization would be the adventure activities of shooting, rock-climbing, trekking, horse-riding, etc, along with a huge diversity of friends who would later be there to tell your stories in every part of our country and of course the final destination of being the country’s backbone in the army or the air-force or the navy!
International General Knowledge Olympiad (IGKO) is conducted at Delhi Public School, Sambalpur for students studying in Class 1st to 10th. The GK Olympiad is conducted to examine students for their General Awareness as per their level and assisting development of competitive spirit among students.

The much awaited Annual Sports Day was held on Friday 16th November 2018 with great zeal, excitement and frolicsome atmosphere along with our sports partner sportathon.
The aim behind holding the event was to inculcate the spirit of sportsmanship and fondness for sports in children. The program began with the Principal, Mrs. Sujata Lenka welcoming the esteemed gathering and emphasized on the importance of sports in a child’s life.
The event was began with the lighting of torch by the senior students. It was followed by a flag hoisting ceremony. The sports meet was declared open formally by a simple and heartfelt dedication to the desire for peace. An oath was administered to students to participate in the Sports Day with true sportsman spirit.
The students entered into the spirit of the occasion in a grand way. Students of classes LKG to V completed in events including Zigzag race, Tunnel race, Jumping with fun, Run with Baton, Balancing on head, Hulla Hoop Run. For classes VI to XII there were events including 100 mt. race, Sack race, relay race. Once the races began the air was filled with cheering and tons of encouragement for the young athletes. Prize distribution services were held at the conclusion of each event. The cheerful moment was the fun race held for teachers. The event concluded with a musical chair Competition for Lady teachers. It regaled the students, spectators and participants alike as they discovered the hidden child in themselves.
In the concluding speech the Principal praised the endeavors of the students. The colorful day came to an end with the encouraging words of the principal- ” It’s not about winning and losing; it’s about every hard work and about thriving on a challenge. It’s about embracing the pain that you will experience at the end of the race and not being afraid”.

This is the best time for a young mind to walk on the right way. For this Delhi Public School, Sambalpur organised a Counselling Session on Saturday from class VI to X on STUDY SKILL and for class XI & XII on CAREER COUNSELLING. The notable Councillor Mrs. Tanvi Agrawal trained the session on nurturing the young minds to achieve their goals. The students appreciated the program and determined to walk on right track.

As per the CBSE guidelines, Delhi Public School, Sambalpur conducts Two-days “HEALTH CHECK-UP CAMP” on 3rd December 2018, Monday and continues on 4th December 2018, Tuesday.

Delving deep into our roots, Delhi Public School Sambalpur hosted and organised the Sahodaya School Complex Western Odisha (SSCWO) Inter-School KHO- KHO (Girls) Tournament 2018 on 17th November 2018. Our Principal Mrs. Sujata Lenka is seen addressing the teams and guests and wishing the all the teams best for the game.
DPS premises welcomed a total of 10 schools participating in the KHO KHO tournament marking it as a hub of school activities. SSCWO Inter-school Kho-Kho Tournament (Girls ) saw several students coming forward as participants and audience, showing their love for the game. While the participating teams put their best foot forward, audience boosted their courage at every moment.
Feel proud to be a DPSIAN , SHIPRA MAHESWARI of class X received the best runner award in this tournament.
It is once again a great proud moment for all the Medal Winners in the 1st East Zone Pencak Silat Championship-2018 held at Hotel Silver Moon, Sambalpur on 1st and 2nd of December 2018.

Innovative minds always look up for challenges which aid in understanding the secret of science and technology in each and every era. Tech-Fest 2018 was conducted at Delhi Public School, Sambalpur on 6 October 2018. It refers to the independent body of students who organize this event along with many other social initiatives and outreach programs around the year. Techfest is known for hosting a variety of events that include competitions, exhibitions, lectures as well as workshops. An opportunity to collaborate on a team, challenges yourself to learn new skills, and create an amazing projects.
The participant for the Tech-Fest were from both junior as well as from senior classes. Expressing one’s feeling is one of the toughest jobs for human, but the middle school students have satisfied their houses masters when they made amazing presentations topics on Web Designing, Monster Truck, Sophia Robot, etc. The gaming competition has three rounds, the participants were ecstasy, cheering for their favorite teams as they battled it out an the football field for a five minute half. They made self projects and lighted the new path of innovations. Students were highly appreciated by their Judges and teachers.
